Moodle is a learning portal where students can access their learning resources, complete their online weekly activities and complete their assessments. The learning progress of the student is tracked via this system. Any feedback from the trainer and grades are available in Moodle for the students.

Moodle is linked with a Microsoft account provided by Queensford College. The credentials are provided to you when you first join Queensford College. These details can be used to check your course grades, feedback, to access Microsoft applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, to access Moodle and to access computers in your College labs. It is crucial that the students check their Queensford email for any feedback or course updates.

Please follow the below steps to log into Moodle.


  1. Go to https://myapps.microsoft.com

  2. Provide your Queensford login details, the username and the password. Your user name starts with your student ID number.
    For example QFCxxxxx@student.queensford.edu.au

  3. Once you sign in for the first time, You will be promted to setup Two factor authentication.

  4. There are two Autehtication method- Phone Authentication or App Authentication. To set up Phone Authentication, Select Country (Australia +61) and enter your Phone Number, select a method of verification Call or Text and enter Next.

  5. Enter the Verification Code that was sent to Authentication Phone and click Verify.

  6. Finally, Enter Done to finalize.

  7. To setup App Authentication, Select Mobile App and the Method of Verification (Notification or Verification code) on the App, then click Set up

  8. A QR code will appear, that will be used to setup Microsoft authenticator app

  9. Install Microsoft Authenticator App from App store or Play Store

  10. Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone, Tap the + > Work or school account and click Add Account and sign in with your Queensford login details.

  11. Select Work or School Account, Select either QR code or Sign in option. For QR-code, scan the QR-code from step 8 and, then click Next. For, Sign in option, sign in with your Queensford details on the app.

  12. Once the account has been added on Authenticator app, click Next on verification page

  13. Switch back to your phone and you'll see a notification for a new sign in. Go to the Microsoft Authenticator app. Tap Approve to allow it.

  14. Setup the Phone verification for additional security then, click Next. Finally click Done for any confirmation. This will re-direct to My Apps page

  15. From My Apps page, click on Queensford Moodle app as shown in the screenshot below.

  16. You should be automatically logged into Moodle now.
